1 cup sugar
1 cup shortening
3 eggs
1 cup raisens
5 T raisen liquod
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup nuts
2 cups oatmeal

Directions:
Directions:
Mix the sugar, shortening and beaten eggs.
Cook the raisins in water till soft and tender (reserve some of the water).
Combine the rest of the ingredients - add the first mixture - add drained raisins - add 5 tablespoons of the raisin liquid
Drop in spoonfulls on to a greased cookie sheet and bake for 10 minutes at 350º
