Home Made Noodles:
6 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. salt
flour

Soup:
1 whole chicken
1 large onion, chopped
6 sticks celery, chopped
12 whole allspice
salt & pepper

Directions:

Noodles:
Beat eggs, add salt. Use enough flour to be able to roll out the dough. Hang to dry - before too dry, cut in noodle size pieces. Add to broth and boil until tender, approx. 20 minutes.

Soup:
Boil whole chicken. Add one large onion, 6 sticks of celery, allspice, salt and pepper. When chicken falls off the bone, remove, debone and put back in broth.

One of Dad's favorite things for Mom to cook. I remember going to Grandma Abts house in Avondale and seeing all these noodles hanging on the ladder back chairs in her kitchen and all over her small kitchen table - I'd sneak a few, they were even good raw. Dad would say "eating raw dough would give you worms..." - ate raw dough anyway.
