Personal Notes:
Recipe taken from 1975 newspaper "Chicago Daily News" and is one of my childhood memories. I have kept that newspaper clipping in my recipe file and pulled it out once a year at Christmas.
My Aunt Ruth Sefcik (my father's sister) made them every Christmas. She used Hershey chocolate bars to melt on top.
In 2018, I tried the Hershey's topping, however Chris and Courtney decided they prefer the semi-sweet chocolate better.
