1.5 pounds ground beef*
.5 pound ground pork*
1 cup bread crumbs
1 egg
1 cup tomato juice or milk
2 tsp salt
.25 tsp pepper
.25 tsp garlic salt
1/8th tsp nutmeg
1 tsp diced onion
1 or 2 taplespoons horseradish


*you can substitute 2 pounds of ground turkey for beef/pork.

Directions:

Put all ingredients in large mixing bowl and mix by hand. Pack tightly into lightly greased loaf pan.

Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour


Mac says, "If you like, you can cover meat loaf with 1 cup of soft bread crumbs and 1 cup of tomatoes, which you pour on top." Note: Don't do this if you are inviting Marie's youngest son to dinner.
