Dough

4 C. Flour
1 tsp. salt
1 T. Sugar
1 C. Margarine (use only)
2 pkgs of yeast
1/4 C. warm water
1 C. Cold milk
3 egg yolks (save the whites)
pie filling or Almond paste

Meringue

egg whites
1 C. Sugar

Frosting

Powdered sugar
butter
almond or vanilla extract

Directions:
Dissolve both packages of yeast into a 1/4 warm water.

add all dry ingredients into bowl
beat egg yolks and fold in milk.
add milk/egg mixture to dry mixture
mix, dry into 4 parts and refrigerate over night

Roll out cold dough into 1/4 inch
beat egg whites with 1 C. Sugar until stiff to make the meringue and spread over dough
you can add sugar and cinnamon, pie filling or almond paste

shape into crescent shape and place on greased cookie sheets
cut outside edges for slits
bake at 350º for 30 mins until brown
frost lightly
