1/2 c. (1 stick + 6 T.) butter, softened
3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 c. granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. + cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
3 c. oats, quick or old fashioned
1 c. raisins, craisins, chocolate chips, M & M's, coconut flakes, nuts of choice

Directions:
Directions:
Heat over to 350º. Beat butter and sugars til creamy. Add eggs and vanilla and beat well. Add baking soda, cinnamon and salt and mix. Add flour. Add oats and remaining treats and mix well. Drop by rounded spoonfuls or shape with melon baller on ungreased cookie sheets.

Bake 8-10 minutes or til light golden brown. Cook 1 minute on cookie sheets. Remove to wire rack. Cool completely. Store tightly covered.


To make bar cookies: spread in ungreased 9 x 13 pan and bake 30-35 minutes.
