5 medium potatoes (peeled, boiled, mashed)
1-2 lbs lean ground beef
½ tbsp onion powder
2 garlic cloves minced
3 tbsp flour
1 tbsp tomato paste (I use Goya sofrito)
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 can chicken broth or 1 cup water and ½ a bouillon cube
2 cups frozen or can veggie (optional cause Chris doesn't do this)
1-2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400º. Brown meat with onion powder and garlic in large skillet over medium-high heat, do not drain. When meat is fully cooked sprinkle in flour and continue to saute for 1-2 minutes.
Stir in tomato paste, worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, and chicken broth. Simmer for 5-6 minutes or until sauce is thick. Turn off the heat then stir in frozen vegetables if you want them and season with salt and pepper to taste.
Pour beef mixture into a large, oven proof casserole dish then top with mashed potatoes and sprinkle with garlic salt and cover with cheddar cheese.
Place casserole dish in oven and bake for 20-30 minutes or until top is melted and browned
