6 oz uncooked turkey bacon
1 medium onion
4 garlic cloves
1/2 tsp (2mL) crushed red pepper flakes
1 pkg uncooked multigrain bow-tie pasta (5 cups/1.25 L)
1 carton (32 oz/1 L) unsalted chicken stock
1 can (12 oz or 370 ml) fat free evaporated milk
1 oz (30 g) fresh grated parmesan cheese
4 oz (125 g) reduced-fat cream cheese
1 1/2 cup (375 ml) frozen peas, thawed

cut bacon into small squares and cook in skillet until browned
add onion, garlic (pressed in garlic press), pepper flakes
cook for three minutes until onion is tender

add pasta, stock and evaporated milk and cover
cover and simmer (do not boil)
simmer for 12-14 minutes (do not boil)

remove skillet from heat
stir in cream cheese, peas and grated parmesan
let stand 5 minutes until sauce is thick and creamy
