1 lb. powdered sugar
1 lb. flour
1 tsp. anise seed (maybe 2)
6 eggs
1 tsp. baking powder

Directions:
Directions:
Beat each egg as you add it to the powdered sugar. Add dry ingredients. Mix thoroughly. Grandpa said about 30 minutes. Drop by spoonful on greased, lightly floured baking sheet. Rest overnight. Bake 8-10 minutes at 350*. Might take 15 minutes depends on your oven.

Grandpa Dettmann made these cookies every Christmas. Resting them overnight should make a small cap on the cookies when baked. If not, they failed. I have tried them twice and have not achieved the cap yet. Don't now what I have done wrong.
