1 cup sugar
½ cup butter, softened
1 egg, beaten
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
3 cups flour
2 tsp. baking powder
¼ tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar and butter. Add beaten egg. Add vanilla and buttermilk. Mix soda, baking powder, and salt with the flour. Add flour mixture to creamed mixture. Chill in refrigerator.

Drop on greased baking sheet and bake at 350º for 10-12 minutes.
