4 cups sifted flour
1 cup sugar
1 TBSP baking powder
¼ tsp. salt
1 cup shortening
2 eggs slightly beaten
½ cup milk
1 TBSP almond extract

Directions:
Directions:
Sift dry ingredients together. Cut in shortening until batter is pill sized. Stir in eggs. Add milk slowly. Mix thoroughly. Add almond extract. Mix again. Use a tablespoon to drop cookie batter onto lightly greased baking sheet. Bake cookies at 375º for 12-15 minutes.

When cookies are done and still warm, you can frost them with a confectioners sugar icing, and then dot them with colored sprinkles if desired.
