2 cups best quality pure Vermont Maple Syrup
Fresh snow or vanilla ice cream

Heat maple syrup to 250º exactly, using a candy thermometer. Pour over fresh snow in a bowl. The maple syrup will harden slightly when it hits the cold snow. If fresh snow is not available, use vanilla ice cream.
