2 ¼ c Flour OR Pamela's All-Purpose Flour Blend(GF)
¾ tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
16 tbsp(2 sticks) softened butter
3/4 c white sugar
3/4 c packed brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 lrg eggs
Up to 2 c chocolate chips
Optional: 1 c chopped walnuts

Pre-heat oven to 350 ºF. Beat butter, sugars and vanilla in large bowl until creamy, then beat in eggs. In separate bowl combine dry ingredients. Gradually beat dry ingredients into egg mixture. Add chocolate chips and nuts. Drop 1 tbsp scoops of dough onto parchment covered OR lightly greased cookie sheet and gently press them down.
Bake for 11-15 minutes, until edges start to lightly brown. Do not over bake or you will lose chewy texture. Let cool slightly on pan and then remove to wire cooling rack.

I have made many different Chocolate Chip Cookie recipes and had so many batches of so-so cookies. This recipe will turn out the perfect chocolate chip cookie every time, even when using the gluten free flour blend from Pamela's.
