⅔ c. (150 ml) melted butter
2 c. (500 ml) lightly packed brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tbsp. (30 ml) hot water
2⅔ c. (650 ml) all-purpose flour
1 tsp. (5 ml) baking powder
1 tsp. (5 ml) baking soda
¼ tsp. (1 ml) salt
1 package (270 g) Chipits milk chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 375ºF (190ºC). Melt butter. Beat melted butter with brown sugar, eggs, and hot water until smooth. In a separate bowl, combine all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Stir into butter mixture. Stir in the milk chocolate chips. Drop 1 tablespoon portions of dough onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes. Cool for 1 minute then transfer to wire rack to cool completely. Makes 5 dozen cookies.
