1 1/4 c butter, softened
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
2 t vanilla
2 cups flour
3/4 cup Hershey's cocoa
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar in large mixing bowl, add eggs and vanilla - blend well. Combine flour, cocoa and baking soda; blend into creamed mixture. Stir in nuts, if desired. Drop by teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 35 for 8-9 minutes. Do not overbake. Cookies will be soft. They willl puff during baking, flattened upon cooling. Cool on cookie sheet until set, about 1 minute. Remove to wre rack to cool completely.
