4 lb. brisket
Salt and pepper
1 onion, sliced
1 bottle chili sauce
4 T. brown sugar
Garlic powder
3 T. flour
1/2 cup water
1-12 oz. can beer

Directions:
Directions:
Trim fat off brisket. Rub with salt and pepper. Cover with onion slices. Put chili sauce, brown sugar, garlic powder, flour and water in 1 quart saucepan. Stir well. Put on burner just long enough for ingredients to become smooth. Add beer. Mix well and pour over meat which is in a 1-quart Corningware dish. Cover. Cook in a 350 degree oven for about 4 hours. Don't look. Uncover and bake for 30 minutes, spooning the sauce over the meat. You may thicken the sauce.
