Grandma's Chocolate Sauce Recipe

6 squares of chocolate
2 cup sugar
3/4 cup milk (2% or whole)
1 T butter
2 t vanilla extract

Directions:

Melt chocolate on low heat.

Add sugar when chocolate is melted.

Increase heat and add milk. It will start to thicken, heat to a full boil.

Take pot off of heat for a few minutes. Put back on burner and return to a full boil. '

To test if right consistency, pour small amount into a cup of ice water. It should go to bottom and hold shape. If it doesn't, heat up again.

Take off heat and while cooling, stir in butter and vanilla. Place pot in sink of cold water that is level with the chocolate and stir slightly until cooled.
