2 boxes Devil’s food chocolate cake mix
1 ½ cup Crisco
4 eggs
Beat ingredients until well combined. Roll into same size balls and bake at 350 for 9 minutes. Do not overbake. Cool completely.
Filling:
1/3 cup butter
3 cups powdered sugar
1/8 tsp salt
¼ cup milk or light cream
1 tsp. vanilla

Beat filling ingredients until smooth and creamy. Frost the bottom side of one cookie and top with a second cookie to make a sandwich.
