1 C. Sugar
1 C. Powdered Sugar
1 C. Butter, Softened
¾ C. Vegetable Oil
2 tbsp. Milk
1 tbsp. Vanilla
2 Eggs
4¼ C. All Purpose Flour
1 tsp. Baking Soda
1 tsp. Cream of Tarter
⅓ tsp. Salt
¼ tsp. Sugar

1. In a large bowl, beat 1 C. Sugar, the Powdered Sugar, Butter, Oil, Milk, Vanilla, and Eggs with a mixer on med. speed. Stir in remaining ingredients except ¼ C. Sugar. Cover and refrigerate about 2 hours until firm
2. Heat oven to 350ºF. Place ¼ C. Sugar in a small bowl, shape dough into 1½ balls. Roll balls in sugar. On parchment lined cookie sheet, place balls 3 inches apart. Flatten balls to ¼ inch thickness with bottom of glass. Sprinkle cookies with additional sugar.
3 Bake 13-15 minutes or until edges begin to brown. Remove from cookie sheets to cooling rack.

Making these cookies will give you all the nostalgia. Thankfully, they do not require a rolling pin or cookie board, but there is something so retro about flattening out cookie dough with a mason jar. Don't be afraid to add Extra, extra sugar, and maybe some sprinkles too.
