4 cups plum pulp
1 pkg powdered apple pectin
1 cup light corn or crystal white syrup
8 cups sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Put ripe plums through sive and into a 4 quart kettle and sift in one package powdered apple pectin. Stiring constantly. Set aside for 30 minutes, stirring occationally. Add 1 cup light or crystal white syrup and mix well. Gradually stir sugar into plum pulp warming to approximately 100 degrees F. When sugar is dissolved jam is ready to eat. Never store on pantry shelf. Keep refrigerated or keep in freezer.
