1 c. white sugar
4 c. sugar
2 c. milk
½ tsp. soda
1 stick oleo
4 c. chopped pecans
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Melt white sugar in a skillet. In a sauce pan, slowly cook sugar and milk. Pour burnt sugar in milk mixture slowly and cook to hard boil stage (248ºF). Remove from heat and add soda. Stir vigorously, and add a stick of oleo, till melted.
Set aside for 20 min. Add vanilla. Beat till thick, with a wooden spoon. Then add pecans. Pour into a buttered pan. (Oblong glass pan is the best)
