1/2 cup butter
1 egg
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp nutmeg

Cream sugar and butter together. Add egg, vanilla, nutmeg.

In separate bowl:
1 1/2 cup flour
1/4 tsp soda
1/2 tsp salt

Add slowly to wet mixture. Put in refrigerator.

Roll out, brush with beat-up egg white. Sprinkle with colored sugar
decorations. Bake 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
