In large bowl dissolve 3 tbs yeast in 1/2 cup warm water
Heat ths mixture and cool to lukewarm:
2 cups milk
4 tbs vegetable oil
2 tbs sugar
2 tsp salt
Add:
1 cup prepared instant potatoes
4 beaten eggs
6 1/2 - 7 cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
Mix dough, let rise till double, pinch into balls, and place on greased cookie sheets. Let rise 20-30 minutes. Use same kind of oil as used in dough, that way the cookie does not absorb the oil as much. Deep fat fry with risen (round) side into the oil first. This will make the flat side poof out too. Start frying soon enough so the last ones to be fried don't rise and fall. Cool slightly and dip into glaze. Glaze: 1 lb powdered sugar, 1 tbs sweet cream or evaporated milk, 1 tbs cornstarch, 1 tsp vanilla. Mix a little warm water into the mixture for a slightly thin glaze. This recipe came from our Friendship Cirlcle at church. We enjoy carrying on the tradision of making these each year.
