1 c. butter softened
½ c. shortening
1½ c. dark brown sugar
½ c. granulated sugar
2 large eggs
4 tsp. vanilla
4⅓ c. flour
2 T. cornstarch
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 bag semi sweet (or milk chocolate) chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Mix butter shortening, and sugars until light and fluffy.
Add egg and vanilla and mix well.
Combine flour, cornstarch, baking soda, salt, and mix.
If the dough is crumbly stir in water 1 tsp. at a time until it just holds together. The dough should bot be sticky.
Add chocolate chips.
Using ¼ c. measure scoop out dough and form into ball. Smash flat and freeze for 2 hours or up to 3 months.

Place onto parchment-lined baking sheet and bake at 350º for 15 minutes.
