Ingredients:
Ingredients:
½ stick butter (not margarine)
1 cup sugar
1 cup almond slivers
6 Hershey bars (broken into little pieces)
¾ cup pecans
2 tsp. water

Directions:
Directions:
Grease cookie sheet with butter generously. In a heavy saucepan, combine sugar, butter, almond slivers, and water on low heat until butter melts completely. Be patient for butter to melt on low heat. Once melted, turn up heat to med-high and stir CONSTANTLY. Use candy thermometer at this point in your saucepan. Continue stirring until the water melts off (mixture will be foamy and thick). Continue to stir until mixture reaches the hard crack stage (300 degrees on a candy thermometer). NOT ANY HIGHER! Once mixture starts to smoke for a minute or two, pull off stove (keep stirring) and pour mixture onto cookie sheet. Use spatula to evenly spread the mixture into a rectangular shape. Hurry it will cook FAST. Add chocolate chips and spread with a knife. Top with pecans. Let cool for 20 minutes, then stick in fridge to harden for 30 minutes. Break into pieces.
