1 Cup hard margarine, softened
2 Cups brown sugar, packed.
2 Large eggs
1 Tsp vanilla
2 Cups flour
1 Tsp Baking powder
1/2 Tsp Baking soda
2 Cup Quick cooking rolled oats (not instant)
2 Cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/4 Cup medium unsweetened coconut

Directions:

1. Beat margarine and sugar in large bowl until light and creamy.
2. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
3. Add vanilla and beat some more.
4. Combine flour, baking powder and soda in a small bowl. Add to margarine mixture. Stir well.
5. Add remaining three ingredients. Stir until well distributed.
6. Drop, using 2 Tbsp for each about 2 inches apart onto greased cookie sheet.
7. Bake at 350º for 8-10 minutes until golden. Let stand on cookie sheet for 5 minutes before removing to wire racks to
cool. Makes about 5 dozen.
