1/2 c. cocoa
3 T corn starch
2 c milk
3 T oleo
1 (9 inch) pie shell baked
1 c. sugar
/4 tsp salt
2 Egg yolks
1 tsp vanilla
2 egg whites
4 T sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Mix cocoa, sugar (1C) corn starch, salt in saucepan. Add milk slowly, stirring well. Cook and stir constantly until mixture comes to a boil and is thickened. Stir in egg yolks, 1 at a time. Cook, stirring constantly, about 3 minutes longer. Remove from heat. Stir in butter and vanilla. Cool slightly. Pour in baked pie shell. Beat egg whites until foamy, add 2 T sugar at a time (4 T all together), beating well, after each addition until sugar is blended; continue beating until meringue will stand in peaks. Pile lightly on pie filling. Bake at 425º until golden brown.
