2 c sugar
1 c softened butter
2 t vanilla
2 beaten eggs
1 t molasses
1/2 t salt
1 t baking soda
1 c chopped walnuts (opt) - can use coconut, 1 c oats or ceral, raisin or apricots
2 c chocolate chips (12oz)
2 1/2 c flour

PREHEAT 350º.
Mix butter and sugar. Add vanilla till light and fluffy. Add eggs and mix. Add molasses. Ten add salt and soda and mix. Add nuts or other. Then add 1/2 chocolate chips and 1/2 flour, mix and add other 1/2. 2 pans - 9-10" pie pans. Line pans with foil leaving corners. Spray with PAM. Divide in 1/2. Form each into lg ball and smush down until spread all the way out. Cook 40 min. Test with back of spoon and press on center. If sinks in, needs more baking. Cool in pan or wire racks for 15 min. Grasp corners and lift out and cool on rack. Carefully pull off foil when completely cool. Can decorate if desires.
