1 1/2 c craisins
1 c cranberry juice
1 1/4 c sugar
1 t salt
1 1/2 t baking soda
2 t cinnamon
1/2 t nutmeg
1 t orange zest
1 c white Karo syrup
1 beaten eggs
1 c butter melted
2 T cranberry juice (from prior)
4 c oatmeal
4 c flour
1 c chopped nuts
1/2 c sugar in bowl

Put craisins in bowl and cup of cranberry juice. Heat 1 min. In mixing bowl put next 6 ing and mix slowly. Add syrup. Add eggs. Mix in butter. Drain craisins and reserve juice. Put in 2 T and mix. Add oatmeal and mix, then flour gradually. Add craisins and nuts. Cover with plastic and refrig 1 hr or OVN. PREHEAT 375º. Roll in 2 " balls and cover with sugar. 6/sheet. Flatten to 1/4" and Bake 9-10 min. Cool 1 min and to rack. Use apple, orange or lemon peels to keep soft if needs. (If makes smaller 6-8 min).
