2 T. butter
2 T. sugar
1/4 lemon
1/4 c. hot water
1/4 c. rum
1/4 c. brandy
nutmeg

Directions:
Directions:
Melt the butter and mix the sugar in well. Add the juice of the lemon and the other ingredients. Just add a pinch of nutmeg. Simmer until hot, pour over slices of pie - 2 tablespoons to a slice.

I wouldn't be surprised if this is actually Edna Brown's recipe as in my memory she was the one who always contributed pies to a family event. LC
