1 c. Shortening
2 c. Brown Sugar, firmly packed
2 Eggs
3 c. Flour
2 tsp. Baking Powder
½ tsp. Salt
1 c. Nuts, chopped (Pecans or Walnuts)
2 tsp. Vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
350º for 8-10 minutes when you bake.

Cream the shortening and sugar in a medium mixing bowl, add in eggs and mix well.
Stir in all other ingredients EXCEPT nuts and vanilla, mix well.
Add nuts and vanilla stirring well.
Place on a sheet of wax paper, form into a log and refrigerate at overnight.

When wanting to bake, pull from refrigerator, slice into 1/4" slices and bake as shown above.
