75 medium sized cucumbers
1 c. salt
alum
3 c. vinegar
6 c. sugar
2 oz. cinnamon buds
1/2 oz. celery seed.

Directions:
Directions:
Soak cucumbers in 1 cup salt with enough water to cover pickles for 7 days.

8th Day: Drain and cover with boiling water - let stand.
9th Day: again cover with boiling water with 1 T alum added
10th Day. Drain and split cucumbers into desired sizes. Mix vinegar, sugar cinnamon buds and celery seed. Boil for several minutes. Pour over the pickles while hot.
11th day. Drain and boil the liquid, adding 1 cup sugar. Pour over while boiling hot
12th day. Drain and boil the liquid, adding 1 cup sugar. Pour over while boiling hot.
13th day. Jar the pickles, Can if keeping for later or will keep in refrigerator in open jar if using soon.
