1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup Crisco
1 tsp vanilla
3 eggs
3 cups all purpose flour
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 package chocolate chips
nuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º.

Cream both sugars and shortening. Add vanilla and eggs and mix. Sift flour, baking soda and salt. Combine all together. Add chips and nuts. Bake at 350º for 12 minutes.



Alternative:
2 ½ cups flour
2 eggs
