2 tbsp water
3 tbsp corn syrup
1/2 tsp cream of tarter
1/2 salt
3/4 c unsalted butter
1 1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:

Combine first 6 ingredients and boil covered for 5 min. The cover gets the sugar off the side of the heavy sauce pan. Remove from heat and add vanilla. pour into greased cookie sheet. Melt 8 oz of choc chip in microwave and spread over toffee and 1 1/4 chopped nuts let harden then cool.
