1/2 cup white wine.....1/2 cup sugar.....1/3 cup corn oil.....1/4 tsp salt.....1/2 tsp baking powder.....2/14 cup flour.....1/2 - 1 tsp anise seed.....sugar for coating

Directions:
Directions:
Set oven to 350.....add wine, oil, sugar, salt, baking powder and anise seeds into a bowl and mix well. Gradually add the flour, little at a time. Transfer to a floured surface and knead lightly (about 10 times). Cut off enough dough at a time to roll into a small chubby rope about 5 inches long and form a circle. Dip into the sugar and place on a parchment covered cookie sheet. Bake until golden in color (25-30 minutes)
