1 package of chinese noodles- (crush slightly with your hand before you open the bag)

1/2 jar dry roasted peanuts

1 large package of butterscotch morsels

These are tricky. Heat the morsels over low heat in a large, heavy saucepan until they slowly, completely melt. Do not use the microwave or try to melt them too fast over high heat. If the butterscotch becomes grainy, you probably will have to throw it out.

As soon as the butterscotch bits are melted, add the noodles and the peanuts and stir quickly until completely mixed. I leave the pot on the turned-off burner while I mix together, so it does not get too cool.

Put two sheets of waxed paper on the counter, and drop stacks of the noodle mixture on the waxed paper.

You don’t have to work very quickly, but you have to move along, and cannot stop until all are made, as it does harden fairly quickly.
