¼ cup (4 tbsp. butter)
¾ cup finely chopped onion
1 -14.5 oz. can beef broth or chicken broth
2 tbsp. flour
¼ cup heavy cream (optional)
2-3 beef bouillon cubes or chicken bouillon cubes
salt and pepper

Directions:
Directions:
1. In a sauce pan melt butter.
2. cook the onion until lightly browned, roughly 5-8 minutes.
3. Whisk in flour and cook 1 minute.
4. Whisk in the stock and cook uncovered until thickened, roughly 5 minutes.
5. Whisk in cream and season with salt and pepper to taste
6. Serve while hot.
