3/4 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs (beaten)
2 tsp. grated orange rind
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/3 c. milk
3 1/2 c. flour
Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar. Beat eggs and orange rind into the mixture. Mix well. Add vanilla, milk and remaining dry ingredients. Chill well.

Place dough on ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 375º for 8-10 minutes.
 

BUTTER CREAM FROSTING

1/3 c. butter
2 c. sifted confection sugar
1 egg yolk
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter and sugar. Add remaining ingredients and stir until thick and creamy. (If it needs to be thickened add more sugar).
