2 packages yeast
5 cups flour
1 T sugar
2 tsp. salt
2 cups milk
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 cup water
Yellow Cornmeal (about 1 or 2 T)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400º
Sift together three of the 5 cups of flour with the yeast, salt and and sugar
Stir in the Baking Soda
Combine the milk and water, heat until just warm.
Add to the above mixture and beat well.
Stiir in the rest of the flour to make a stiff batter.
Grease 2 loaf pans and divide the batter into the 2 loaf pans
Sprinkle cornmeal on top
Cover with a towel and let rise for 45 to 50 minutes
Bake at 400º for 25 minutes
Immediately remove from pan
Slice, toast and enjoy!
