1 stick butter
1½ c sugar (divided)
1 c flour
1½ tsp. baking powder
¼ tsp. salt
¾ c milk
1 can of sliced peaches in syrup

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Place butter in 9x9 baking dish and microwave to melt. In a large bowl, beat together until smooth: 1 c sugar, flour, baking powder, salt & milk. Pour over melted butter. DO NOT STIR! Empty can of peaches over the batter. Sprinkle with ½ c sugar. Bake for 30 minutes. You may use any canned fruit. We have always used peaches.
