2 cups dry black beans (about 1 pound)
1 tsp sea salt
8 cups water

*Slow cooker: Can fill 1/3 of the way with dry beans and fill the rest with water.

Electric Pressure Cooker:
Rinse dry beans and place in electric pressure cooker with salt and water. Stir.
Cover with lid, cook for 25 minutes on high pressure.
Let the cooker naturally release for 20 minutes, then remove lid. Drain and store in an airtight container in the fridge or freezer.

Slow Cooker:
Rinse dry beans and place in slow cooker with the salt and water. Stir.
Cook on high for 5-6 hours, or until beans are tender. They will expand to about 3 times their size.
Drain and rinse the beans after cooking, then freeze or refrigerate.

~2 cups beans = 1 can of beans
