Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cups granulated sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/8 tsp. salt
2/3 cup chopped walnuts
2/3 cup mashed very ripe bananas (2-bananas)
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1/3 cup buttermilk or plain yogurt
2- large eggs

Note: This recipe is for a single layer 8-9 inch square cake. If you would like this to be a double layer 9-inch round cake double the recipe, you may have a little left over that you can bake separately. It's a good idea to line the pans with waxed or parchment paper then grease and flour it so the cake will come out easily. Once the cake is baked let it cool for 10 minutes in the pan, then turn them out onto a cooling rack.

Heat the oven to 350 degrees

Put dry ingredients into a bowl mix and set aside. In another bowl mix wet ingredients together, add dry ingredients just until mixed well, once the ingredients are mixed, hand stir in the walnuts.
Bake 30-35 minutes or until a pick is inserted and comes out clean.
