1 cup butter
2 cups brown sugar
2 eggs
salt
2 tsp. baking soda dissolved in ¼ cup sour milk
3½ cups flour. (Add more if needed)

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients together then chill. Roll out and cut with a 3" cookie cutter. Bake at 375º F. Once cookies are cooked spread one cookie with jam of your choice and cover with second cookie.

Grandma would cut out a small donut hole in the top cookie before baking so you would be able to see the jam/jelly.
