2 cups sugar
1/3 cup white corn syrup
1/2 cup boiling water
2 egg whites
1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugar, syrup and boiling water together in saucepan.Cook until it reaches hard ball stage or 212 degrees. Remove from heat, allow to cool. Beat the egg whites until very stiff. Add vanilla to sugar mixture, then stir that mixture into egg whites and beat until it loses it's shine. Drop by spoonful onto waxed paper.

I have burned up mixers from making so much of this favorite candy. That's how I got my KitchenAid mixer--Lee couldn't bear the thought of not having this Divinity!
