Swiss steak or round steak
Bisquick or flour
salt and pepper
1 c. chopped onion
1 thinly sliced carrot
1 rib celery, sliced
1 can (15 oz.) diced tomatoes
2 t. sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Cut steak into serving pieces. Dredge in Bisquick or flour. Brown in oil. Season with salt & pepper. Place in baking dish. Saute onion in same skillet that was used to brown meat. Add carrot, celery and tomatoes. Sprinkle with sugar. Stir to remove browned pieces from the bottom of skillet. Pour over meat. Cover and bake for 2 hours @ 350º. Check now and then to see if you need to add a little water.
