1 tsp baking powder
1/4 cup blanched and slivered almonds
Raspberry jam

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter, sugar and egg
Sift flour, measure and resift with salt and baking powder. This is a soft dough and can be handled easier chilled.
Break off small pieced of dough and press into tiny tarts or muffin tins.
Press dough well up the sides of pans but don't press it too thin
Put about half a tsp of silvered almonds in bottom, then a drop of jam on top.
Bake in a pre heated 400ºf oven for about 10 minutes or until golden
The mixture will puff up and almost enclose the jam
Decorate each tart (when cool) with a rosette of pale pink butter icing or pipe a frill of whipped cream around the edge, leaving the scarlet jam showing.
