8 baking potatoes, peeled
2 c. shredded cabbage
1/4 onion, shredded
1 Tbsp. oil, for sauteing
1 c. prepared horseradish
2 tsp. caraway seeds
1 1/2 c. evaporated milk
Salt and pepper to taste
3/4 stick butter

Directions:
Directions:
Slice peeled potatoes 1/4 inch thick and place in pan. Cover with cool water and bring to a boil. Turn heat down and simmer for 15 - 20 minutes or until potatoes are fork tender.
Meanwhile, combine the cabbage, onion and caraway seeds. Set aside.
Butter a 9 x 13 inch baking dish. Place 1/3 of drained potatoes on bottom of dish. Sprinkle with 1/3 c. horseradish, followed by 1/3 of cabbage mixture. Top with 1/3 of the evaporated milk.
Repeat layers two more times. Dot with remaining butter.
Bake at 350 º for 25 minutes.
