2 pounds ground beef, cooked and drained
1 (1.25 oz.) packet taco seasoning
4 ounces sour cream
4 ounces mayonnaise
8 ounces cheddar cheese, shredded and divided
1 yellow onion, sliced
2 cups biscuit mix
2 tomatoes, sliced
1 (4 oz.) can sliced jalapeno peppers
1 green bell pepper, sliced

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 325º.
Brown the ground beef, add taco seasoning and water (according to taco seasoning packet); set aside.
In a separate bowl, combine sour cream, mayo, 4 oz. cheddar cheese and half of the onions; set aside.
Stir biscuit mix and water (directions on biscuit box) to form a soft dough. Pat dough on the bottom of and 1/2 inch up the side of a 9x13" greased pan.
Sautee onions and peppers.
On top of biscuit mix, layer as follows:
ground beef, tomato, peppers, onions, jalapeno peppers, sour cream mix and then end with the remaining cheddar cheese.
Bake 30-40 minutes.

Keith loves watching John Wayne movies and when he was a kid, John Wayne was his hero. It's no wonder that he enjoys this casserole! He swears that John Wayne himself grew up eating this dish.
