Ingredients:
1 cup butter, no substitutes
2/3 cup white sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp almond flavor
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp baking powder
2 1/4 cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
In bowl mix together butter, sugar, egg and flavoring thoroughly, then add salt, baking powder and flour until blended together. Add desired food coloring, and put dough into spritz dough cookie press with desired shape and press onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Add desired sprinkles and bake at 350º for 10 minutes, or until set but not brown.

* I usually color the dough green and make Christmas trees with a star on top and colored sprinkles.
* Wash pans and cool after each batch that comes out of the oven. Cookies will not stick to pan if it has any grease left on it or if it is hot.
* Do not refrigerate this dough or it will become to hard to put through the cookie press.

Personal Notes:
This was one of my Mom's favorite cookies. I remember her making these when we were little and she would color and make them in the shapes of candy canes. Annie
