1 cup pickling salt
1 cup water
2 cups sugar
1 cup vinegar
Fresh Dill

Directions:

Slice cucumbers ⅛ - ¼ inch thick without peeling. Soak overnight in a brine of 1 cup pickling salt to 1 gallon water. In the morning, drain well.

Make a syrup of 2 cups sugar to 1 cup vinegar. Heat. Put some fresh dill in scalded jars. Fill with pickles and boiling syrup. Seal while hot.
